Pronto Guards — Security Services Agreement
California BSIS PPO 122150 · On-Demand Security Booking

This Agreement is between Pronto Guards (4615 E Industrial St #1L-A, Simi Valley, CA 93063, BSIS PPO 122150) and , located at , for the booking summarized above.

1. Scope of Services

In short: We provide licensed security only — our officers won't bartend, pour alcohol, park cars, babysit, give medical treatment beyond basic help, do setup/janitorial work, or act as police.

We provide licensed security services only — observe-and-report, access control, crowd management, deterrence, patrol, and related protective functions. Our officers do not perform services outside the scope of licensed security work. The task list you provide is a request, reviewed and confirmed before your event.

2. Hours, Overtime & Extensions

In short: Your booked window is the hours you reserved. If you need officers to stay longer, that's billed at the overtime rate in whole-hour increments and approved on site.

The booked window is the start and end time shown above. On-site extensions are billed at the applicable overtime rate in whole one-hour increments, subject to officer availability and lawful shift limits.

3. Early Release & Unused Hours

In short: If you send officers home early, you're still charged for the full hours you booked (4-hour minimum). We've committed those officers to you.

If you release officers before the scheduled end time for any reason, the full booked hours are charged, with no refund for unused booked time, subject to the four (4) hour per officer minimum.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

In short: Cancel 72+ hours ahead for a refund (less any deposit/fees). Within 72 hours, it's non-refundable.

Cancellations 72 hours or more before start are refundable less any non-refundable deposit and fees. Cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable. No-shows and lockouts are non-refundable.

5. Insurance & Liability

In short: We carry the liability insurance California requires. Our total liability is capped at what you paid for this booking.

Pronto Guards maintains commercial general liability insurance consistent with California PPO requirements. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

6. Your Responsibilities & Assumption of Risk

In short: Give us accurate info, safe site access, an on-site contact, and any permits. Security reduces risk but can't eliminate it.

You must provide accurate event information, safe site access, a designated on-site contact, and required permits, and disclose known hazards. Engaging security does not guarantee no incident, injury, loss, or damage will occur. This Agreement is governed by California law.

Terms of Service

Pronto Guards · On-Demand Security Booking
These Terms govern your use of Pronto Guards' online booking service and the security services we provide. Please read them carefully. By booking, you agree to these Terms. This is a summary agreement; a full service agreement may be provided for larger or recurring engagements.

1. Who We Are

Pronto Guards ("Pronto Guards," "we," "us," or "our") is a licensed private security provider operating in California under a Private Patrol Operator (PPO) license issued by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS), PPO 122150. We provide on-demand, temporary, and event security services. Our officers are registered Guard Card holders, and armed officers (where requested and available) hold the additional firearms permits required by California law.

2. Scope of Services

We provide licensed security services only — observe-and-report, access control, crowd management, deterrence, patrol, and related protective functions, as agreed for your booking. Our officers do not perform services outside the scope of licensed security work. By way of example and not limitation, our officers will not: serve or pour alcohol, bartend, provide valet or parking-attendant services, provide childcare or supervision of minors, provide medical or first-aid treatment beyond basic good-faith assistance, perform janitorial or setup labor, or act in any law-enforcement capacity. The task list you provide during booking is a request. We will review all requested tasks and confirm which fall within our lawful scope before your event. We reserve the right to decline or modify any requested task that is outside our scope, unlawful, or unsafe.

3. Booking, Quotes & Payment

  • Prices shown during booking are estimates based on the information you provide and are subject to confirmation. Final pricing may be adjusted if event details (hours, officer count, location, requirements) change.
  • Minimum booking is four (4) hours per officer per day.
  • For bookings under a certain size, full payment is due at the time of booking. For larger bookings, a 50% deposit may be required at booking, with the balance due before the service date. Very large bookings may require payment by bank transfer.
  • All payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors. We do not store full card details on our systems.
  • Surcharges (holiday, short-notice, and similar) apply as disclosed at booking.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the scheduled start time are eligible for a refund of amounts paid, less any non-refundable deposit and processing fees.
  • Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the scheduled start time are non-refundable, as officers and scheduling have been committed.
  • No-shows by the client, lockouts, or denial of site access do not entitle the client to a refund.
  • Refunds, where due, are issued to the original payment method within a reasonable time.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or decline service (with a refund of unearned amounts) for safety, legal, or operational reasons.

5. Client Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate event information, safe site access, and a designated on-site point of contact.
  • You are responsible for obtaining any permits, licenses, or venue approvals required for your event.
  • You must disclose known hazards, threats, or special risks at the site or event.
  • You may not direct our officers to perform unlawful, unsafe, or out-of-scope acts.

6. Officer Authority & Conduct

Our officers are private security personnel, not peace officers, and do not have powers of arrest beyond those available to any private citizen under California law. Officers will act reasonably and lawfully, will follow agreed post orders within scope, and retain discretion to act to protect life and safety. Use-of-force, detention, and similar actions are governed by law and our policies, not by client instruction.

7. Insurance & Liability

Pronto Guards maintains commercial general liability insurance consistent with California PPO requirements (minimum $1,000,000 per occurrence). To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of any booking is limited to the amount paid by you for that booking. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control, the acts of third parties, or the client's own acts or omissions.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pronto Guards and its officers, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of: your event; your or your guests' conduct; your failure to disclose risks; your breach of these Terms; or your direction of activities outside our agreed scope.

9. Assumption of Risk

Security services reduce but cannot eliminate risk. Engaging security personnel does not guarantee that no incident, injury, loss, or property damage will occur. You acknowledge and accept this inherent limitation.

10. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, fire, flood, earthquake, civil unrest, government action, pandemics, or other emergencies. In such cases we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or refund unearned amounts.

11. Privacy

Information you provide is used to fulfill your booking, coordinate officers, process payment, and communicate with you. We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Incident reports and operational records may be retained for compliance and legal purposes.

12. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. The parties will attempt to resolve disputes in good faith. Any dispute not resolved informally shall be handled in the courts or by the dispute-resolution method specified in your full service agreement, in the appropriate venue in California.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your booking governs that booking.
